It is with great sadness that IP Australia notify members of the
passing of Gerlinde Beamish, who died
at 4.30pm Tuesday 23rd July.
Gerlinde was an examiner of patents for many years who began work with
the then Patent, Trade marks and Designs Office in 1973 (I believe with
Graham, Bill, Paul and Phil along with Owen Haggar and Ed Knock) and
retired from patent examination after many years of service.
Gerlinde examined patents in the mechanical area for many years but will
be remembered mainly, by myself and those who knew her, for her commitment
to the social club and to the people of the organisation.
She will be sadly missed
For members of the profession that have worked with or had contact with
Gerlinde.Gerlinde's funeral will be held at 1.30pm next Tuesday 29th July
at the Uniting Church (next to the Irish Club), Parkinson Street, Weston,
ACT.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Cancer
Council.

The Annual General Meeting of our Society will be held on Saturday, 20 September 2008 at 1.30 p.m. at the Stamford Grand Adelaide, Moseley Square Glenelg, South Australia, Australia.
