TOPIC: ‘Performance Enhancing’ Your Clients’ Businesses During The Upcoming Commonwealth GamesThis seminar is important to attend if your clients want to benefit from advertising and promotional opportunities during the Commonwealth Games without finding themselves accidentally ‘penalised’ for contravening brand protection measures.

The Commonwealth Games taking place in April on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane is an exciting opportunity for the local business community to engage with the 1.5 million spectators attending the Games.

However, there are strict controls around the use of protected images, words, logos, references and expressions (Protected Images and References). A dedicated GC2018 brand protection team has been established to monitor for unacceptable use.

Come along and learn about:

  • what is included in the long list of Protected Images and References;
  • when is use of the Protected Images and References considered acceptable;
  • what steps the GC2018 brand protection team can take if your clients’ advertising and other promotional use is unacceptable;
  • what your clients should do if they inadvertently use the Protected Images and References in an unauthorised manner; and
  • how your clients can avoid strife in showing their enthusiasm and support of the Commonwealth Games and athletes in print and social media.
