The decision in UWA v Gray and its implications for determining inventorship and entitlement to patent rights

Katrina was lead counsel for the University of Western Australia in its application for special leave to appeal to the High Court in the UWA v Gray case.  The decision in UWA v Gray has important ramifications not only for universities and other research institutions, but also for all inventors, patent applicants and patentees, patent attorneys and the legal profession. Katrina will discuss implications of the decision for the determination of inventorship and entitlement to patent rights.
